    My favourite places are:

Ajisai in Kerrisdale and Kappa Sushi in White Rock. Not the cheapest but definitely the best.

I really enjoy Nishiki Sushi, but that's because I've been a long time eater there so the lady there is really generous with the sizing lol

Miku was fabulous. They make their own sauce for each type of sushi.

I love Sushi House too! You may want to try Yami's, it's on Granville and 70th ish... it's a small place but they often gave free food to me when I eat there! there's also Pink Swirl located at Empire Centre in Richmond (no 3 road). It used to be a small sushi place (really good portions of salmon and ebi sunomono is awesome!) but the owner always wanted to do some kinda dessert so it's a ice cream/yogurt/sushi place.

I just discovered Irashai Grill because of Indulge Living's feature. I always drive past but never went in. Anyways, was in the area and popped in and their sashimi and sushi was incredible. The price was super good for the quality. I decided to load up on www.indulgeliving.com coupons for Irashai and I'm going back with the family on Saturday. Try this place, you will not be dissappointed.

Sushi Town - Various Locations in the Lower Mainland
Various locations have various service, but the quality of food is consistently good

Sushi Garden - Across from Metrotown in Burnaby
Long waiting times during the peak hours, but the quality of food is excellent

Bay Sushi - On Seymour across from the Bay Downtown
Busy during the lunch hour, but quality of food is good/decent

    Hope this helps.

I've heard from a friend that the owner is perverted and asks female customers (some underage) to pose in underwear so he can photograph them. There's a wall collage of these photographs.

Also found a comment online which seems to confirm the rumours.
