Packages come into contact with who knows what, both at the depot and before and so basic procedures should be followed before ripping into something that is newly arrived into your home.

I try to open packages outside to expose them to air and sunlight before taking the contents indoors and I dispose of the brown outside paper right away into the outside garbage bin and do not take it inside.

Always wash your hands after accepting a package from the postal carrier and put it into a plastic bag right away until you can take it outside.

just some basic but necessary precautions in these times.

Fentanyl is being ruled out as the suspicious substance that sent two Canada border agents to hospital on Tuesday.

Richmond Fire Rescue’s hazmat team is investigating after the two agents became ill when they came in contact with an unknown substance found at Canada Post’s Pacific Processing Centre, located at Vancouver International Airport."

... they say that cash money can be dirty too considering all the people that touch it when it changes hands in transactions ...
