Do You Answer Your Telephone With "Hello"?

    ... what salutation/greeting do you use when you answer your phone? something other than the standard "hello"?

    Well, from the caller i.d. I often know the caller. So I pick the receiver up and say "Hi, ------, nice to hear from you."

    I just say, "hello." When at work, I say, "<my department or company> <my name> speaking."
