Has anyone been to the farmers' markets? http://www.eatlocal.org/

I'm mostly wondering if they're worth the time (ie: not insanely expensive, unique produce/varieties).

Haven't been, will go and come back to say. ^I've been to the one at Lonsdale Quay and it wasn't great. they're not insanely expensive but you know that you can get it cheaper elsewhere and the whole "eating local" doesn't seem to appeal as much. every summer there's one at granville island, last year I bought a cranberry salad dressing and it was home made, it was great when I tried it there but when i got home the feel was different.
