Serious Consequences of B12 Deficiency

    Pediatrician was losing his sight, hearing, mental capacity, ability to walk, continence all due to an undiagnosed B12 deficiency.

    • Folic Acid is not B12
    • Grains fortified with folate but not B12
    • Red blood cells often look normal with high folate which masks hidden B12 deficiency
    • Synthetic B12 is not sufficient in many cases
