  3. Most people hadn't a clue what they were protesting for. good job teaching at-risk teens about creating safety hazards and annoying commuters.

    I agree that they're not going about it the right way, but it does sound like a program worth keeping open.

    The Eastside Aboriginal Space for Youth (EASY) gang prevention program has been instrumental in helping to eliminate risk factors related to criminal and gang activity for Aboriginal youth. Since the program was implemented in November 2009, EASY staff members have delivered support and mentoring programs to youth, including a late night resource program, outreach and recreational activities.

    Critics wonder why the Harper government is so hell bent on building more prisons rather than helping to keep Aboriginal young people out of prison. Eastside Aboriginal Space for Youth. The project began in August 2008 with the support of Public Safety Canada, National Crime Prevention Centre, Youth Gang Prevention Fund. But now funding is about to end.
