Never tried the wine but I have had some beer that Safeway sells and it was ok. I like the taste of beer but I've just been watching a documentary on liver damage from alcohol and it is not pretty! Love your liver!

BC liquor stores and producers could sell many more, even local non alcoholic wines if there was a market for them.

It's not just the alcohol in beer that makes it 'relaxing' to drink. Hops, the herbal plant used to give beer it's distinct and bitter taste, has a relaxing affect. Is this why, traditionally, people gravitate to beer after a hard day or other emotional turmoil?

    CONCLUSION:
"The concentration of 2 mg of hop extract effectively decreased nocturnal activity in the circadian activity rhythm. On the basis of this investigation, administration of non-alcoholic beer would be recommended due to its hop content and consequent sedative action, which would be an aid to nocturnal sleep."

Non-alcoholic beer and non-alcoholic wine is for non-alcoholics.

Alcoholics can't have that stuff because it contains alcohol, usually 0.5% by volume, still it's enough to trigger a craving for the real thing.
