So I know back East, No Frills is a lot cheaper than Superstore and their other supermarkets.

Out here, Superstore is the budget branch so I am wondering where No Frills fits in. Are the prices in line with RCSS, less, or more?

For example, SuperValu while owned by Loblaws is pricier than RCSS due to its location and business hours (24/7/365).

I made this thread when NoFrills only had one store in the Lower Mainland. Since then, I've discovered that certain things are dirt cheap when on sale at No Frills (like chocolate milk, pasta & produce). Prices can be cheaper at No Frills or Superstore depending on item and sale though, so it's best to check flyers for both.

Fruits and vegetables are still cheaper at independent grocery stores, unless it's on special (raspberries and okra are commonly on sale at No Frills).

The Fraser location (Dean's) is nicer than the Broadway location (Joti's). I find that the latter will advertise things in the flyer that won't exist in the store. I suspect they hide stock like Staples.
