Hello! Each and every city and municipality have their own websites and does their own hiring.
Most civic-municipal job opportunities in BC are also listed over at www.civicinfo.bc.ca/index.asp and currently has over 100 Opportunities listed province wide...

For "regional" opportunities, check out www.metrovancouver.org They are now what was once called the GVRD... They often post Spring-Summer "Parks" opportunities around Christmas time...

For Provincial opportunities: www.employment.gov.bc.ca is the website, and they currently have 75 opportunities listed province wide... They too post seasonal "Parks" jobs ($25 an hour) in January-February...

Then you could also Google: BC Transit (Victoria), BC Ferries, ICBC, Canada Post, BC Hydro, Fortis BC, the various school boards, and health authorities...

Opportunities come and go almost daily... Many Opportunities only get posted for 5 business days...

Another tip: Don't just look at these various websites once. Check back almost weekly as many opportunities come and go all the time... Often many opportunities only get posted for 5 business days, so you have to act fast!

Another website to check out: Google "UBC Jobs" and then click onto EXTERNAL APPLICANT... Sometimes 60+ jobs listed! Juts like city of Surrey too!

My tip for job hunting is to lie on your resume. Start by embellishing some job titles and when you feel more comfortable, make up entire jobs. If you put down large companies as employers, they're less likely to catch you! Grades and volunteer experiences are seldom verified. Have some friends be your references and you should be employed in no time!
