Looking to buy some Thai Tea mix but don't know where to find it.

Years ago, I used to see 1lb bags of tea leaves under the Pantai norasingh brand but that store has since changed owners and no longer carries it.

Got a tip about Chua A Asia Market on Hastings and Gore which reportedly has a lot of Thai ingredients and products. Will check there.

Thanks! I actually looked there a week ago and couldn't find it but I was in a hurry.

Asia Market is a bit more expensive but they carry two brands. The owner (?) said the red/white Number One Brand is more traditional.

How does this product compare to western style (North America Iced Tea)?

Very different. It's more similar to Hong Kong style milk tea.

This is the finished product, topped with evaporated milk:

When my wife and I were in Thailand, we asked some locals what brand to buy to make once we got home. They recommended the Red Number One. Let me tell you, it's the real deal. I'd go for that one.

It's nice to know that we can buy it here when we run out.
