Ok so the PM announced a reduction in our national debt. Not a small re-calculation, a large one. So while everyone is cheering no one seems to be asking : who screwed up the amount? This, to me, does not boost my confidence in their accounting ability on The Hill.

Really, this huge difference needs to be investigated.

From 16.6 billion to now 5.2 billion.....wow that's 11 billion difference there. Time to audit the accountant I'd say.

... flutterby, don't fall for the propaganda -- it's all lies. in actual fact, the government doesn't ever have to concern itself over cash ...

... keep in mind that the government prints and issues all money itself. as such, it's absurd to suggest that the government could even have debt since they can generate as much cash as they need ...
