    The Shipyards Night Market aka North Shore Green Market (May 2 -September 26)

    Location: Shipyards Plaza 15 Wallace Mews, North Vancouver

    Richmond
    International Summer Night Market (May 9 - September 14)
    http://www.summernightmarket.com/
    When: Weekends 7 pm - 12 am (11 pm on Sundays and holidays)
    Location: 12631 Vulcan Way (behind Home Depot on Sweden Way)
    Admission: $2, free for children and seniors

    Richmond Night Market (May 16 - October 13)
    http://www.richmondnightmarket.com/
    When: Weekends 7 pm - 12 am (11 pm on Sundays and holidays)
    Location: Near River Rock Casino and Bridgeport Station
    Admission: $2.25, free for 10 and under or 60+

    Surrey
    Surrey Night Market (July 4 - August 30)

    When: Friday & Saturday 6-11 pm
    Location: Cloverdale Rodeo Grounds (6050 176 Street, Surrey, BC) across from Agriplex

    Vancouver
    Il Mercato: Italian Night Market (August 15, September 19, October 17, November 21)
    When: Every 3rd Friday of the month 3-7 pm
    Location: Il Centro Italian Cultural Centre on East 12th Ave & Slocan

    Vancouver Chinatown Night Market (not happening this year)

    Why? Surrey's a growing city. It's always nice to have more community events. The Richmond ones have been getting pretty boring. Even worse with the admission charge.

    All of the markets should have opened by now. Heard the Surrey one was packed.

    I was out @ River Rock Friday night and couldn't believe all the old white people heading for the market-when you see them you know it's jumped the shark.

    Updated the list. New addition is the Italian Night Market which sounds more like a farmer's market.
