M7.7 Earthquake hits BC

Tsunami warning issued to British Columbia's coast. Didn't feel it in Victoria but there are reports that people felt it in the Lower Mainland! Did you feel it?

felt it in my richmond condo. phew...takes some pressure off the big one!

 

Unfortunately, it doesn't always work like that . Earthquakes can often de-stabilize the plates and increase pressure in certain areas, making quakes more likely or even triggering them. I hope this isn't some sort of nature foreshadowing.

... seems like a government-generated hoax to me. an overreaction at the very least ...
