Local ISO Good fun eats/drinks downtown for out-of-towners

    Hi, everyone,
    I live on the Island but will be meeting-up with 6 girlfriends from Europe in September. We're staying downtown for 2 days. I haven't been there for a while and thought I could get some recommendations on places to stop for lunch/dinner that are good value, ethnic is fine, maybe a scenic spot, or something quintessentially BC or entertaining place, or......? Our coffers are tight but there must be some hidden gems around. We'll be on foot or public transportation, staying at the Cascadia. And what about a pub/club on a Friday night where 7 40-somethigs wouldn't look out of place?! Thanks in advance!

    Go to Carderos, they have one of the best patios in the city.
