My friend is a very smart Japanese immigrant. She graduated from University in Japan and is here to learn English. She is here for a couple weeks now, and looking for a part time or full time job. Her English is very weak, not enough to provide good customer service yet (Imo), but wants a job that will immerse her in English.

She prefers to find coffee shop, English shop/restaurant. Any ideas for her to try, suggestions advice, or other directions/jobs you can point out?

    Appreciate the help!

Starbucks? If her English isn't quite there yet, maybe she can work at a Japanese run placed where she'll communicate with the staff in Japanese but will have the opportunity to use English with customers to ease her in.

    Stores: Konbiniya, Izumi-Ya, Fujiya
Restaurants: Japadog, Guu (and other izakayas)... basically any restaurant or store downtown with Japanese staff
