How do you find Roku 3 compared to Chromecast?

@Henry I like the Roku 3 because it has a remote and an interface to browse and access apps. It also has an ethernet connection which is handy for streaming higher quality content. With the Chromecast you have to go through apps on your phone or laptop. The plus side of the Chromecast is that it's significantly cheaper. You're also able to cast chrome tabs which you can't do on Roku.

Both devices make it difficult to access US content though VPNs like Unblock-US.

No matter what device you get, install Plex to make the most of it.

However, I would personally wait for the Amazon Fire TV to come to Canada or ship it cross border and pick it up. It's $79 right now so cheaper than the Roku, faster, and less restrictive. You can change DNS within the device to watch US and international content. You can also install third party apps like XBMC.
