Animal life is fast disappearing, and the greed and callousness of selfish interest knows no bounds. Some apologists have tried to justify Dr. Palmer's killing of Cecil, Zimbabwe's lion, by saying that it keeps numbers culled. Well hello, ever thought of removing excess animals by catching them and sending them to zoos or preserves in foreign lands?

My biggest grievance against the dentist is not what he did in Zimbabwe, but whom he did it to. Too bad he did not shoot dictator Robert Mugabe instead.

... and why would you like to see this man shot?

Because Robert Mugabe is a tyrant who has beggared and oppressed his people. Persecuted citizens who speak against the government. And to whitewash the whole thing, he paints his actions as a defense against "colonialism." Colonialism ended decades ago. It isn't the white people screwing Zimbabwe today. It is the black tyrant and his corrupt cronies.

... does that make it somehow less immoral? it does for me although it's still mean ...

Less immoral? No fricken way. How can self-respecting 'hunter' bag a lion, in a cage....that has been baited in most cases.

  7. You are describing with precision Benjamin Natanyaju and the Mossad, business as usual in Gaza, terrorizing those poor Palestinians to death! To take that beautiful land to become the Promised Land Of Crime and ethnic cleansing.

In an age when the cry of "human rights" is being raised everywhere, growing concern for animal rights had to come sooner or later. We cannot tolerate wanton cruelty against any living creature.

Those "poor Palestinians" too many leftists find it fashionable to speak for are suffering only because oil-rich Arab countries refuse to give them citizenship and integrate them. They are no more a distinct nationality than Albertans or Minnesotans. Meanwhile, Israel and India took in huge numbers of Jewish and Hindu refugees from Arab countries and Pakistan. Gave them citizenship, integrated them. Don't give that "Netanyahu is a monster" baloney.
