Arts & Culture “RAINCOUVER” Vancouver Rainy Day Anthem

    Fourth year Simon Fraser University business students were given an unique assignment this semester in their Integrated Marketing Communications Class. Students were told to form groups, create a video, upload it to YouTube and the group receiving the most hits would get the highest mark.
    The outcome for one group, a parody rap video about how it is always raining in Vancouver, is a fun commentary on the trials of Vancouver life. Called “Raincouver,” the video ends with the group rapping, “166 days of rain per year, Raincouver is depressing, I’m getting out of here!” The group is quick to say that while they hate the rain they do actually love Vancouver.
