After 2 years of construction at Cambie and 12th, they're now in the hiring stage. Quan Ju De is one of the peking duck chains from China. They have a location in Toronto.

The restaurant seems to be called iDEN by QuanJuDe advertising a "5D Immersive Fine Dining Experience". Nearby Old Beijing Roast Duck will have some competition.

Someone crashed into the restaurant yesterday. Seems like bad luck for this spot. Lots of delays. I heard the owner hated the layout and had everything redone and the management team quit or got fired twice. Rumour is $5000 for private room and at least $350 a plate. Too luxurious for me, I think i will stick with my $35 peking duck 3-ways ha-ha.

this place is doing a shit job of protecting their guests and staff. drove by iDen QJD 全聚德 a few days ago during dinner time. they packed all of their patrons together in 1/4 of the restaurant. the other 3/4 of their restaurant was left empty. sure i get that it's easier for the serving staff but it defeats the entire purpose of reduced capacity and physical distancing as the tables were definitely not 2m apart. i'm surprised because all of their guests were Chinese.
