Natural gas smell at Alma and West 4th

    I would report it if it were a one time thing but it always smells strongly at this intersection and about a block before hitting west 4th. They did some road works there last summer and they were replacing some old pipes but the smell is still there....anyone?

    ok rotten eggs smell. I guess Natural Gas has no smell and the odour is added to it as an alert....

    I honestly thought I was smelling lutefisk.

    Mercaptan is what you mean but that's not the smell around there-it's always stunk going back 30 years to when I worked 'n the hood and apparently always will.
