    www,news1130.com is reporting BREAKING NEWS: All Canadian Future Shops stores will close immediately and operations will be merged with their Best Buy division...

    OMG. Another Die Hard Vancouver Forum Poster....posting at 7:19 am. I had awoke at 1am with my usual PTSD jolt and have been online ever since....

    I wonder what will happen to the stores that are essentially next to a Best Buy like Lansdowne. Sad to see them go although they were effectively the same store as Best Buy, often running the same sales and promotions. I'd end up going to Best Buy because of their reward points system.

    Good to note that Best Buy will be honouring Future Shop gift cards and warranties. Not sure about returns though.
