Havent been able to get a job since May

I honestly cant understand why or what happened.

Back in May, I left my last job because the work place was... well abusive. Towards ALL its employees. The day I left, 1/3rd of the staff left all together.

Since then, I have been looking for a job and I have yet to find one. I have gotten to the point where all my savings are gone, I am down to 195 dollars in my pocket and thousands of unpaid bills and mortgage payments. But its not like I am uneducated or under qualified. I am 25 years old, I speak 3 languages, I have over 6 years of experience in administrative work, graphic design, marketing, service and clerical work.

And its not like I am looking for super high wages, I am seriously willing to work for 11 dollars an hour right now, even though that check wont even cover my mortgage let alone other bills. Seriously, what is happening to Vancouver? I need a damn job... Sigh...

Any one else having problems with employment?

if it was an abusive environment, is there no employment council you could complain to? there really needs to be somekind of organization where abused employees can go in an attempt to fix the situation before having to leave, a kind of mediation. bullying isnt tolerated at schools and it shouldnt be tolerated in the workforce either.

    maybe try Alberta or Ontario.

... one of the reasons i'd never buy a house until i had the full amount of money to pay for it is because i'd be afraid of getting into a financial situation such as yours. i very much hope you don't have a wife and kids to support as well. on the other hand, often spouses work too and can keep the ship afloat when the other spouse loses a job. that's one good thing about marriage ...

thats one thing that seems totally unfair and should be classified as theft; you pay into a mortgage but default on a couple payments and they take your house. a house that you own say 2/3 of.

Almost everywhere I go I see HELP WANTED or NOW HIRING signs....

Heck even on the www.vancouverjobshop.ca is always advertising their Job Of The Week!

AND I'm almost constantly hearing about Fort McMurrey/the North! Heck, just drive up there and you'll be making $80,000-100,000 a year right off the bat!
Lady on my bus 2 weeks ago talking about her 19 year old son who went up to Fort McMurrey, stayed away from the drug scene, made enough/banked enough $$$ in 4 years to then move back here and bought a house in North Delta! No mortgage, bought the house with cash!

I see you more as an entrepreneur than someone who will work for a measly $11 an hour.
Why don't you use your marketing/graphic design experience? Those are high paying skills to have.

You can go to businesses and help them with their marketing strategy or offer free advice. If they find value they might offer to pay you for work.
Do you know how to build a website? Many business owners are too busy. Why not build one for them? You can earn more building a website which takes a few days than you can working 2 weeks full-time at a job. All it takes is some initiative. Sometimes you meet someone who recognizes that you are ambitious and happens to be a business owner looking for ambitious people! Voila.

Get in touch with me for more ideas. I know ways you can find a job quickly and also know other ways to make money outside of a job.
