Public Transit in the Greater Vancouver Regional District falls to the responsiblity of TransLink.
TransLink does the planning, and funding of public transit in the region and then has operating subsidiaries and contractors who actually provide the various services...

Each one does their o-w-n- hiring! Opportunities come and go almost daily!!
Don't just look once and think there is never anything to apply for... You MUST check like weekly if really interested!!
Many opportunities do start out as "temporary" but that is one way of getting your foot in the door!!
When Coast Mountain Bus Company is actually hiring new drivers: "Conventional" means Big Bus & Full Time hours; where as "Community Shuttle" means the smaller- mini buses & part time hours to start... They have a seperate page with lots of information about the hiring process, and answers many applicants questions...
Driving is NOT the only opportunity that comes around... CUSTOMER INFORMATION CLERKS, FAREBOX, CLERICAL RELIEF POOL, to name a few... Apprentice mechanics and trades...

-Coast Mountain Bus Company is once again accepting applications for CASUAL/PART TIME TEMPORARY CUSTOMER INFORMATION CLERKS, $20.91 an hour PLUS an extra 22% in lieu of benefits while "temporary" status... ("regular" status = paid benefits)...
