Well they're called Everything $1.00 And More now, but looks like they're having store closing sales. The one at Metrotown does not seem to be participating.

All items are at least 50% off if you buy 10. So 10 items for $5.

 

If business is bad for a dollar store, things must be bad.

Anyway, the Dollar Tree stores have better products/deals.

 

Competition is good though. You get more product diversity. Plus both Dollarama and Dollar Giant have green and yellow for their branding, so it's nice to see the red and white theme for a change .

Dollar stores have really changed. I went into a Dollar Giant and was surprised to see so many brand name products for sale: like Sharpie, Maynard's, etc. And no, they were not knockoffs.
