**I know you can't get the Kindle Fire in Canada but I can order it lol if needed.

I'm interested in getting an eReader for the purposes of reading. Please don't mention the iPad, it's not as portable as Id like it to be. My mom already has one so I don't need to get one myself.

The price of the Kindle Fire is $199 and the Kobo Vox is $199, now $179.
I'm leaning towards the kobo vox because my friend has the kobo touch and she says it's great. Another reason for leaning towards the kobo is because I frequent chapters more than I frequent amazon so in terms of convenience, it would be more convenient to get the kobo and just shop on chapters.

    Which would be better?

Kobo lets you read all e-books, unfortunately not Amazon because Amazon does not allows that.

Your comment implies that I have already bought a tablet. Why is that, where have I said that?

Google Nexus 7 tablet is only $199. Packs a quad core cpu and 12 core gpu with the latest android OS, Jellybean. Great super powerful 7 inch tablet for ebooks.
