Discover Vancouver used to be good around a decade ago, then it just degenerated into a bunch of racist bigots trolling each other with multiple accounts.

I used to find that place to be riot...maybe 4 yrs ago. There was a crazy cast of characters over there, the best trolling the internet has ever seen with the anon handles, and everybody could say what they wanted (remember free speech? oh how i miss thee)...

I remember that kid from St Louis, couldn't have been more than 15 yrs old and I think he told a story about maybe dating a 12 yr old or something and he was called out for being a pedophile? LOL. He was obsessed with Vancouver too...wanting to move there and perform various pedo acts on the population, I suppose.

Then there was that desperate, overweight Jewish woman "Academia?" She always pretended she was some intellectual superior and talked about her big UBC grad school stuff, but it was clear she was full of shitte and she would also always flirt hardcore with people and try to get dates with the freshest immigrant men? She was so desperate LOL. She was a trainwreck. Poor girl.

I also liked the Chinese dude (troll, probably White lol) who would always proclaim China's superiority and post pics of all their missiles. lol. Let's not forget the cat guy as well. Forget most of the rest but I used to like trolling that Scadenfreude guy...forget what his schtick was but he always came across as a big douchebag.

Then it was funny when the "serious" members, got in a huff about the trolling and they broke off and formed their own discover "Seattle" forum! It consisted of the same rejects from Vancouver and the same Vancouver discussion, only it was the lamest board on the net. It was like the Vancouver knitting club or some shit. But jeepers, they could secure their handles so it was GREAT, because there was no "funny business." Sure enough, the pedo kid who was in tears about the 'hateful' Van forum before, still couldn't stay away from DV even after his precious safe haven was created.

Point is, there was no other forum on the web that was as disturbed as DV in it's heydey. That was something special because it was different. It wasn't the same vanilla PC bullshitte you saw everywhere else. I came there to escape. The handle-jacking and politically incorrect comments were hilarious and refreshing to me. I could come on there at any time of night and there would always be something happening. It's too bad political correctness has ruined these old gems. Haven't been there in years, and I doubt it's the same, so I will just have to live with those fuzzy memories for now.

The only reason I tolerated all that venom and defamation on DV Forum was because I had to get my points across. I have too much to say to humanity, be it correct or mistaken. DV then, and Memebee today, are awash with vermin and cockroaches who never should have been born.

Technology is a double-edged sword. On one hand it enables common citizens today to do things which only companies or wealthy individuals had the means to do fifty years ago. But at the same time, it enables riff-raff and mindless persons to have an impact on entire populations. The internet has removed the need to own a printing press or kiss the ring of pious and selective publishers. But at the same time, it has enabled diseased and ignorant minds to spew nonsense to mass audiences.

DV was fun, but the handle jacking got silly. You never really knew who was who.

Oh my gosh, Richards! How wonderful it is to find you again, old friend! Listen, are you also on Facebook? If yes, look up Vivek Golikeri in your real name, identify yourself as Richards from the old DV days, and pick up our long-lost friendship. And if you ever plan to visit south Florida, or I plan to visit Vancouver, we'll meet in person.
