Me & the Mrs are heading down to Vegas for like the 7th time... We love Vegas... the sights, the sounds, the endless food places, the shopping... The gambling...

We're going with another couple this year, it's their first trip in decades...

We'll make a point of venturing down to Fremont Street for sure....

For those who are considering a trip down, it can cost like nearly 1/2 the price to travel out of Bellingham airport... It looks like nearly $1,300 USD for 4 out of Bellingham, instead of nearly $2,300 CAD for 4 out of YVR... It's the Canadian taxes & fees that really add up fast!

We've also done quite a few seasonal Cruise N Stays: 3 nights on a cruise ship & then 3 nights in Vegas! www.bonvoyageholidays.com is a North Delta company that puts together a variety of seasonal Cruise N Stays...

Looks like it is worthwhile crossing the border to make the trip.

For couple activities: shows like cirque du soleil (check tix4tonight for 50% off), food/buffets, shopping?

Buffets: Spice Market Buffet @ Planet Hollywood ($5 off coupon), Wynn, Bellagio or Buffet of Buffets (24 hour buffet pass).

Earl of Sandwich @ PH for a quick bite.

Don't forget the $20 sandwich trick for a potential room upgrade.

Which hotel are you staying at?

Found some great/useful information over at www.vegas.com you can click onto SHOWS, type in the dates you'll be in town and up comes the various shows during that time frame. NOTE: Sometimes it's cheaper to buy show/event tickets thru ticketmaster!
www.vegas4locals.com is another great site! Deals, coupons etc...

If you are planning a trip to Las Vegas in either early May or Late Sept, and might also enjoy a 2 or 3 night coastal cruise between Vancouver & California, check out www.bonvoyageholidays.com They are a North Delta company that pairs up seasonal coastal "re-positioning" cruises between Vancouver and California with mini stays at various south western US destinations including Vegas! We have done like 4 of these now since 2007, and really enjoy them! Great value! In 2007 we did the 3 night cruise down to LA, 3 nights stay in Disneyland and then 3 more nights in Vegas! Had a blast!

www.allegiantair.com offers lower cost flights out of Bellingham... Parking down there is approx $9 a day... Their prices DON'T include luggage until you add that at the end of the transaction. I think it's like $20 each way per suitcase if booked in advance, but DOUBLE that if you wait and pay at the airport...

    Las Vegas was a BLAST!
Still HOT down there during the mid day! almost 100 F every afternoon!
Rod Stewart still rocks the house down!
    Fremont Street was GREAT!
The flight over the Grand Canyon was well worth it!
Lots of construction and redevelopment going on down there...
The economy is doing well in that part of the US...
Glad we went, and am already planning 2013's trip too!

There is Grand Canyon in the Vegas flight? That is a real treat!

We decided to do a half day tour, a flight over the west rim of the Grand Canyon... Well worth the price... a small, 19 seater plane with 2 pilots up front...
