Dunno if anyone's been following this but there's been a lot of information leaking out on forums about the alleged killer, Brian Dickson. Initially the media was trying to paint a positive image by highlighting his extracurriculars but it backfired and the truth is starting to come out.

The quoted comment below was off the Yahoo news article. If you follow the advice and search up [email protected], you'll get results from a bunch of forums that are confirmed to be linked with Brian Dickson which makes me think that the comment is legit.

After reading some of the forum posts, I can safely that he is fucked up. Here is some of the info others have found:

Nothing notable expect that he has asian porn stars listed under "interest".

The page shows all posts by charmanestar. A lot of the content on that board is pretty messed up (eg: descriptions of incest, pedophilia), you've been warned.

To see his posts, click the Statistics tab and then "Find all posts/threads by dj_jake_the_snake".

There's also a thread on that forum where other members discuss the murder and its link to dj_jake_the_snake: http://www.tribemagazine.com/board/tribe-main-forum/163180-york-u-murder.html
This post even indicates that he's worked with kids : http://www.tribemagazine.com/board/...field-trips-summer-camp-kids.html#post1632806

He has a creepy vibe about him (Paul Bernardo-esque even), but apparently some people think he's good looking.

We can't jump to conclusions.. because the pedo posts were posted 1 year ago and only over 3 months, they could be fake or a joke?? maybe he wanted to get a laugh.

Joke or not, it's still messed up dude. 3 months is actually a long time, especially when his comments weren't very troll like to begin with.

If the police pressed charges, then they have the evidence. Remember, he is already known to the police. I hope this put this creep out of his misery and do the "eye for the eye" thing. Freak, my tax dollar is going to feed this creep in jail? Here is where the death penalty should be put in place.

^IIRC, the cost of an execution is larger than the cost of housing an inmate for life due to legal costs. Although, I guess you can argue that money going into a lawyer's pocket has more economic merit than money spent keeping a convict alive.

The death penalty is something that I change my mind about all the time. There are definitely some people that just can't be "rehabilitated", but I wouldn't trust our justice system with the power to kill.

Not very difficult and expensive IMO. Texas has death penalty.

Trollish comment but I'll bite. Capital punishment might have some debatable merits about it, but cost saving is not one of them. It costs money to even consider the death penalty and most of the time, they end up with life sentences anyway. You can blame it on judicial inefficiencies or whatever, but the fact remains that it's not the most economical "solution".

Not really trollish! It is expensive because the justice system made it expensive. Back in the day, the Texas Rangers would do all the dirty work! :)
