Yoga without the claptrap. Does it exist?

Do classes with 'straightforward' yoga exist? I've often wanted to try it but really can't be doing with all the "connect with the earth" rubbish that instructors seem to spout out! I'd rather just get on with putting my legs round my head without all the nonsense!

    Please Help.
    Thanks !

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

I had the same problem with karate. I signed up, just wanting to learn how to defend myself. Instead, they forced us to learn all kinds of weird Japanese etiquette and funny terms which could easily have been provided in English.
