Will Robots replace workers?

    ... haven't robots already replaces workers in many industries, manufacturing most specifically? is the next thing having an android take your order at mcdonald's?

    Yes and no. Some tasks currently done by humans will be performed in future generations by intelligent machines. Yet the human factor will ultimately be indispensable. Look at how elevator operators have not existed in decades. Washing machines have replaced washerwomen. But those folks got trained for other jobs.

    Maybe they'll invent artificial brains for some of the stupid, utterly STOOOPID persons walking around.
