Hi, I need some help finding a career I actually enjoy. I'm only 19 and I've already failed at 3 different careers since finishing high school(I hated doing them). I've decided I need some serious help in this search.
BCIT's career testing course (http://www.bcit.ca/study/courses/cepd0101) looks like a good option but I'm not sure how much one-on-one time I'll get with a counseller in that course. This counselor http://www.irenegiesbrecht.com is another option, but I couldn't find any independent reviews of her services or any others.
Where would be the best place to go for some professional career counselling in the Lower mainland?

Try Career Zone - 1260 Granville Street - they have professional career counselling, workshops and programs - it is all government funded.

Hi, I came across your message through a search and thought I would reply.
I work with people helping them to clarify and do what they love through my life and career coaching and counselling practice.

If you're interested you can visit my website at www.authenticallyu.ca and give me a call to see if it's a fit for you.

There's also plenty of career programs in town with the ymca, ywca, family services etc. that are great. Find your local job center and check out your community centers and colleges for programs.

I wish you best of luck in your quest for fulfilling work!

    Christa

I've decided to go with BCIT's career search workshop(http://www.bcit.ca/study/courses/cepd0102) because I really want something that fits my personality(I've had quite a bit of trouble finding such a career). I figured that, since this course is 12 hours long, it would be the most in-depth one that i know of so far.
Still, thanks for your suggestions, everyone.
