Emirates? No way. I have no problem being neighborly with liberal or reformist Muslims who are good citizens in the West. They practice their Islam in a 21st century way. But Muslim countries deny equal rights to women. They treat guest workers from India and the Philippines like semi-slaves in those Gulf states.
They have artificially jacked up oil prices in the past to screw US and other western pockets.

Boycott those Gulf states. Develop solar energy, wind power and other sources of clean tech. When the industrial world no longer needs their oil, they will go back to living in tents and eating lizards and scorpions.
