Sweet, I'll see you at the depot when you start.

I'm usually hanging around in the cafeteria during my spreads!

Give all your energy for the first two weeks, that's gonna determine if you make it or break it.

Day 5 you have to pass your written air brakes test and day 9 you have to pass your road test, which you are given 2 chances at.

Roughly between 2 and 4 hours per day, depending on whether you have a partner in Training or not.

    7:30am til 9:30am- Classroom

9:30 til 1:30- out driving, and lunch

    1:30 to 3:30- classroom.

The faster and more accurate you and your driving partner do the pre trip inspection, the more driving time you guys get on the road.

I remember doing the verbal pre trip the first time, oh boy did I end up using a lot of time for it....

9 days should be plenty of time to nail the full pre trip inspection including verbalizing the brake adjustment.

Verbalizing the brake adjustment is crucial to passing the road test as you are only allowed two demerit point for it.

Just a side note: While no active Driving opportunity at this time; There are still about a dozen active job postings up at CMBC. "Get your foot in the door" any way possible!

HandyDART has a new active posting up for CASUAL Drivers, those with a class #4 license already.

www.translink.ca/careers/ and then either "Coast Mountain Bus Company" or "HandyDART"

And, as always: www.civicinfo.bc.ca/careers/ is a GREAT alternative too.

Wasn't me... I was driving the highway Orions yesterday (Sunday), and even had a guest from this forum onboard!

I drive past VTC 4 times every Monday and Tuesday morning.

I did notice a new Operators bulletin up looking for volunteers who want to switch to any of the suburban depots this month!

Sorry, you don't need to be snarky about it. I was confused cause in his post he said he starts training on the 14 but goes on to say they should be calling him tomorrow with a job offer. I don't know how it works, that's why I'm on here.
Thanks for making me feel like a dumb ass.
