For those with renter's insurance, how much do you pay? Does your policy cover everybody in the apartment or does each roommate require their own insurance policy? I'm a bit unclear about that.

FYI: I've been doing the online quotes and this is what I've found from cheapest to most expensive:
    1. TD Insurance Meloche Monnex Alumni or Professional Discount: http://www.melochemonnex.com/en/tenant/quote
    2. TD Insurance Meloche Monnex Student Discount: http://www.melochemonnex.com/en/tenant/quote
    3. Square One Insurance: http://www.squareoneinsurance.ca/
    4. The Co-operators: https://home-estimate.cooperators.ca/
    5. BCAA (non-member): http://www.bcaa.com/Apps/Home/Quote/?plan=Tenant

I forgot to take note of the TD price without a discount and BCAA price with membership. Other companies such as Canadian Direct Insurance (CDI), Coast Capital, Johnson and RBC only offer call in quotes so I have not checked. Any companies that I'm missing?

I used BCAA for a claim in the past with no significant issues-remember price isn't the only determining factor and insurance is a racket.
