Hi people. So I recently got my N, and I want to start driving around on my own. I believe I can get a cheap car from craigslist that's within my reach, but the problem is, I might not be staying for even a whole year (I have family here to leave the car with) and the insurance rate for new drivers, as I understand, is crazy high per year. I'm honestly contemplating just driving around without insuring just for a couple of months...what do you think people? chances of getting caught and such? I know it's never a great idea in case of an accident and all that, but all the normal sane comments on the point of insurance aside.
