... i saw a news report on TV about this story and have thought about it some more ...

... while the demand from the recreation facility that the group of people refrain from playing games for money may seem petty, the facility does have EVERY RIGHT to make that demand of them. it is their private property and they can set the rules for what goes on there ...

... further, i don't find that the group has been damaged in any way as a result of the demand and, as such, they should be respectful and display some gratitude for the service the facility has provided them (for an entire decade!). they are acting like spoiled children ...

The casino should offer up a community room if betting on the premises of the rec. centre is the issue. And even if they played at their own homes, betting would be illegal. So you can bet at a casino but not in your own homes.
