Latest report now says rice in China is contaminated by cadmium, a toxic metal. Check your bags of rice next time you buy, if it is from China, that bag of rice may be contaminated.

It is not just rice alone, any product that has rice content is also contaminated. The rice sticks, rice noodles, instant noodles, any food product from China that you buy at T&T, Superstore, Safeway, IGA, Save on Food, look for the ingredients.

If you are big fan of rice noodles, buy those that are made in Thailand. If you are an instant noodle fan, buy only those brands that are manufactured in USA or Korea (Eg. Nong Shim or Sapporo Ichiban).
