Tech Restricting Access by IP ....

    So for those who don't know it is super easy for website owners to monitor who visits their site by the user's IP address. All you have to do is click on the site and it registers your computer's IP address.

    You can ask Google for a site called : 'What's My IP' and when you click on it it will show you what your IP is - easy peasy.

    Now I discover that sites can now (probably been able to do this for a long time) ban or block certain IP addresses at their whim. This happened to me. I wasn't rude or anything, someone just didn't like me visiting their site or emailing their contacts list.

    I think this is discrimination...

    Plenty of methods to hide your identity, including but not restricted to:

    1. Turn off your modem for a while, then turn on modem. You should get a new IP address
    2. Login from the library, public wifi, etc.
    3. Use a VPN
    4. etc.

    Maybe try not posting pornography on forums next time.

    Sites just shut down my computer entirely now ie. France 24.

    Many sites have rules regarding how their site is used. Were you ever notified why you were being banned?
