How to Find a Family Doctor in Vancouver

If you struggling to find a family doctor in BC, let me help!

In 2018, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) removed their directory of doctors accepting patients. It was a notoriously out of date service but it was the only centralized system that existed allowing patients to cold call offices. There is no replacement as of yet but there is one apparently being worked on here: https://pathwaysbcvirtualcare.ca/ for selected cities.

Some will advise you to call 811 or HealthLinkBC but I haven't found them to be very useful. They will simply direct you to the nearest walk-in clinic or urgent care centre.

Your best bet is to reach out to your local Division of Family Practice. I've compiled a list below. Some list the doctors accepting patients. Some are wait lists and some have contact numbers of attachment coordinators who will help place you.
