Exporting a Canadian Vehicle to the USA

    Mighty Forum,

    I'm leaving next week to work in Murica for the next 2-3 years and i'm trying to export my Canadian 2009 Volkswagen(VW) Tiguan and received a non-formality letter from VW U.S stating that my car doesn't meet the U.S safety standards because i don't have the VIN number stamped on my engine and powertrain.

    I'm stuck as to how to proceed from there because i called the VW dealers and VW Canada and they don't provide stamping services.

    Has anybody ever encountered such problems before and willing to enlighten me the way out of this frustrating situation?
