I've been using a free online service called Dropbox for backing up files and thought I would share. You also have the option of downloading their desktop client and syncing folders. You get 2 GB for a free account.

You can use https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTg5MDM5Mzk5 to sign up to get an extra 250 mb or erase the referral information in the URL if you'd prefer to do without it.

Additional 250 mb for completing the tour: https://www.dropbox.com/gs
Random ways to earn even more free space: https://www.dropbox.com/free

this is a pretty good online storage. i use this instead of usb/emails, for protection and privacy purposes, and to prevent any virus or malware

    Dropbox <3s school!

Dropbox is making the transition back to school easy by giving everyone with an .edu email address double the credit for referrals. That's 500MB per friend you invite! That goes for everyone you've already referred too.

https://www.dropbox.com/edu <-- Go here to claim your extra MBs!

N.B. This works for non .edu emails too, I just tried it with @interchange.ubc.ca
