There are so many reasons to not drink and drive, yet so many people still do it, it's disgusting. All you have to do is think about the closest people in your life and how it would feel if their lives were ended over something so stupid and preventable. No one plans to have an accident. This article caught my eye in the news feed because I was thinking about drunk driving the other day.

Sent it to a friend who recognized the name Paul Molund, because he took on high school work experience students for CFIA (not sure if he still does).

Sad that it's not surprising how slow the justice system is.

I know it's quite sad to see how slow things progress in the system.

His 4 years in jail is nothing compared to losing someone. And his "lifetime" driving ban? Who's going to monitor that? He still managed to drive while he was disqualified so what? Terrible, just plain terrible.

If life was "perfect" people would have to go retake their N test every 2 years or so. And if life was "perfect" people would just follow the effing law on no phones while driving. Seriously, would we really die without the technology that much? More strict laws on driving&drinking and using technology&driving, if you're caught, go serve community service time+get written up. I almost got crashed while driving my brother to school, man with cigarette in one hand and cellphone in the other. His wrist is doing the steering and I mean geez slow down but no, vrooooooom. (yellow light already)

RIP Grace Chan and condolences to the family.

Those who drink and drive should be sent to a hard labor camp under extreme weather conditions. No tv, no pizza, internet, no goodies.

I read Calgary recently tightened up their drinking and driving rules. Forgot the percentage but it's something like half a beer for class 5 drivers.

This is why I like random road blocks. I wish we would have more of these throughout the week, not just on Friday and Saturday nights.
