Well I must say that I am confused about the dearth of support groups around death and dying. I guess no one wants to think about it, much less talk about it with others in this town! Is it still a taboo subject or what?!

They're out there. If there isn't one in your local area, there are many many resources and communities for grief and terminal illnesses.

... there do seem to be support groups for many other situations. check your local hospital perhaps?

Everyone expires at one point, better talk now than later.
