Community Safety officers...not quite the police

The community safty officers drive around in marked cars and carry all the same stuff a rug ulnar member would carry minus the firearm. They do wear a uniform and have similar powers to regular members. Mostly they handle bylaw enforcement and such but they also help out with traffic and other low risk duties. They are like the RCMP auxiliarys but are paid. It starts part time but you can move to full time. Buddy needs to chill out obviously he brakes law thus has bad interactions with the police.

 

Never heard anykind of news byte about this to inform the public though. Do these agents speed to collisions? Do their cas have sirens? Are people to pull over for them? Really no information.

 

Come on Mechanic. You should try and make some more realistic comments or they will start filtering your emails from prison !

 

These new VPD members have full Peace Officer appointments / status in the Province of BC like the RCMP A/Constables.

We have them PCSO... Police community support officers , or some may say plastic policeman.....lol
They can give out fixed penalty for , eg - littering
They can demand name and addresses of people being anti social
Take alcohol off under 18
But they cant arrest anybody but they can call for back up from a real police officer .
They wear similar uniforms tho there hats and jacket has a different colour band on it .
