Chinese Mitten Crab, Shanghai Hairy Crab in Vancouver

    Is it possible to find these species of crab here? Does Canada import them at all? They are called Chinese mitten crab (大閘蟹) or Shanghai hairy crab (上海毛蟹). Very popular in Asia.

    I think they are banned for being an invasive species. I remember there was something on the news about a woman returning from China trying to smuggle them into Canada in her suitcase.
