Grind For Kids is a new annual event that raises funds to help meet urgent needs at BC Children’s Hospital, including research, clinical care, treatments and cures for childhood diseases, community health programs, and equipment purchases. BC Children’s Hospital is the province’s only full-service acute care facility, and serves approximately one million children living in BC and the Yukon. Last year, more than 78,000 kids were treated at Children’s Hospital.

To participate in the Grind For Kids program, people sign up and ask friends, family and coworkers to pledge $1 or more for every Grouse Grind™ they do between June and October. The Grouse Grind™ is a 2.9-kilometre trail up the face of Grouse Mountain, commonly referred to as “Mother Nature’s Stairmaster”.

Each time participants do the Grouse Grind™, they swipe their Grind For Kids Timer Card to track their progress. At the end of the season, participants collect their donations to help BC’s sick and injured kids!
