I'm thinking of getting my first ever i-phone and personal cell. Does anyone have advice about which provider might give me the best deal - competitive pricing and minimal hassle? I'm not intending to use the phone a lot, just SMS and access to emails. Thanks.

They're all pretty much the same... lol... I'm using Rogers and I haven't had any problems. Costs around $60/month for me. My plan is 200 minutes weekdays, unlimited weekends and evenings from 6pm, unlimited social networking MMS, 500mb data. go to www.rogers.com

You could also buy the phone separately and use Wind, which seems to have pretty cheap plans!

Just a minor correction. Iphone does not suport AWS so it is not compatible with the Wind network.

However, the Galaxy S does :) and so does the Blackberry Bold 9700. For your purposes, a blackberry might be better.

Mmm, if you happen to be a student I'd recommend talking to Rogers.
They give pretty good deals which accommodate your needs as a student.

If not a student, then I have no idea.

The Blackberry Bold is also getting an upgrade to 9780 (rumour is end of the month for Rogers, earlier for Telus) so it would be better to hold out if you end up going that option (which I would recommend if all you're using your phone for is SMS and email).
