Last time I couldn't listen to MY music, the stuff that I have paid for and downloaded from itunes, because I had to agree to their new and updated 'terms of service.'

This time I am being denied the ability to listen to MY music because my credit card expired and they didn't get their $3 for a t.v. episode I downloaded....

I avoid that pitfall by paying cash for everything.

I guess that's the whole idea behind this online rigamaroo.
You don't own it, you just rent their time so you can listen to watch content which the provider owns.
Personally, I either buy or rent a physical CD/DVD so I always have it, nobody can take it away from me or deny me access to it like that.

However, entire industries are going online, so the option of purchasing something physical will decrease until you can't do it anymore. iTunes or Hollywood doesn't want you to own anything, so in the future, they will cut you off. Even the software companies don't want you to own the software so you can create your own content on CD's/DVDs.

Their idea is for us to become slaves to them so that we don't own anything.
