Yup. Both times it was something like a Chevy Uplander/Montana minivan. But I have seen a 15-passenger Ford van for it too I think. You DON'T do the driving test in a 40-foot bus! :)

Holy cow, had a throw back Thursday moment when I did the class 2 learners test.

Bombed through it in 15 minutes.

    How's everyone else coming along?

For future applicants, when ever HR requests you to go get your class 2 learners, make sure that there is restriction code 15 on your permit.

Otherwise there will be delays in the process.

Just finished the panel interview this morning. But realized after the interview that I have some answers that are incomplete. Hope I pass. Aside from the fact that I on a flight today to Manila and will be back in three weeks. Hopefully I pass the panel interview and that they are willing to wait till I get back.

I was only able to do one which is the C23 route. I was not able to do any of the other two as I got busy during the weekend and it was a holiday this Monday. Was busy preparing for my flight to Manila and getting paperworks done for my dad to come here to Canada.. A lot of blessings came thru this week and hopefully getting hired at Translink would be one of them.

Wow. The conventional operator post has been up for over a week now.
They must be 'flooded' with applications.

Must be your internal postings that are showing the expiry date.

    External shows as the following

CMBC Farebox Attendant -------------> - PTT 2015/10/15 to Open until filled
CMBC Farebox Receipts Attendant --------------> PTT 2015/10/15 to Open until filled

    EDIT:

But going into the actual application, it shows October 9th to October 19th

Maybe they're building a pool of applicants just in case there are operators that are about to retire. That's one theory....

Coast Mountain Bus Company NEEDS to hire between 150 and 300 more Operators e-v-e-r-y- year just to keep the numbers of staff at the same level of roughly 3,000 Conventional and 350 Shuttle drivers.

People move up, move on, move out.

Yes. I thought about that one as well RNammer. Also thought possibly HR is attempting to increase employment of a specific type of individual personality that they believe will enhance 'people skills' as well as 'mechanical skills' and are looking for as broad a selection as possible. The mysteries of Human Resources. And yet, best of all, the opertunity still exists on the board, which is a good thing for everyone interested.
Hey Superchecker. Thank you for your thoughts here. Did not realize the operations staff for conventional bus operators was so large. That shows me Human Resources has a large and most responsible tasking. Regards, Richie.
