The forums have now cleaned themselves up. Most of the trollers are now gone from the local forums.

I wish that were true, but the opposite is true on Memebee Forum. The bottom line is that all the ranting and raving by those scum increases traffic, which in turn increases advertising. Forum Vancouver maintains decency, and does not have the heavy traffic. Really a pity that forums need to depend of human filth to do well. This is the equivalent of entertainment using pornography to get rich quick.

I also like this forum better but the memebee has banned the trollers Bruce, GD, SMP and Dice. The asian forum has banned the leopardsox and the odenson as well.

Have they banned Richard Kuklinski? That shameless son of a whore didn't stop at posting falsehoods about me. He googled public records for information on people connected to me, and started making comments about my relatives! That was why I had to stop posting there, because I have no right to let my family members be hurt by my blogging.

Memebee, like DV Forum, has utterly no ethics since they let such things go on. All they seem to care for is money, forget decency. Some of the scum who post there deserve to die of Ebola or be afflicted with multiple sclerosis.

I am not sure if that troller is gone but they do have rules now about posting personal information. I know that Gordon Gambino, Bruce and ghost were all banned.

Memebee is interesting because of its controversial content. Forum Vancouver is not so interesting because of its niceness. I choose Memebee.

I believe it is possible to have both, civility and vibrancy. I made a mistake recently on a thread I created comparing Anwar Sadat and Jimmy Carter, and got a warning from the moderators. I counter-attacked against Palestinian and Igor, posters who tried sick tactics against me. On Memebee or DV counter-abuse was necessary because the moderators sat on their fat rear and did nothing. But if on this forum they will protect me, okay. In future there is no need to use name-calling to tell attackers off.

One thing about me. I never turn the other cheek. In fact, the main reason I hate both Christianity and Gandhi so much is that "love your enemy" garbage. If I were living in a country where the only law were the gun, I wouldn't simply kill someone who tried to harm my family. If I had the upper hand, I would torture or disfigure them.

With decent people I am very kind and polite. But when attacked, I become a vicious panther. And how I deal with enemies all depends on which system it is happening in. I would never hurt innocent people even if I could get away with it. But when dealing with hyenas, you need to retaliate like a hyena.

I remember visiting that forum about ten years ago.
Just took at look ten minutes ago and found the same old Teh Borken dutifully posting his topics based on news items day after day... and almost nobody replies.

But I want to ask; why did you keep away from that forum if it was that special?

The whole reason I posted on that monkey circus is that I am a thinker and an activist, and I need to get my ideas across to the public. I actually welcome criticism and challenge when done with civility. But I ended up wasting too much time and energy merely defending myself against malice and falsehood. So I left.

I don't want my discourse with humanity to be about me. What the hell am I to people at large? I want it to be about issues and ideas. The messenger only matters to the extent that his personal self is seriously involved with the message.

DV was stupid. It had all the crazy of 4chan and /r/spacedicks but without any of the humour.

The DV was good for awhile but it eventually became crap. The VF used to be ok but now it is just arguing and favoritism by the owners. This is a very good forum even though it is very quiet.

@Bine it is quiet but there's a small group of us here from time to time. Superchecker's bus thread seems to be very popular though.

Now that the Amazon Kindle exists, I no longer need these juvenile forums to get my ideas across to the public. I just copyright books and then pay my tech to upload them to the Kindle. Just google "Amazon Books" first. Then google "Vivek Golikeri." You'll see my books there. The Kindle had not yet come out way back when I was posting on Discover Vancouver Forum.

Much as I despised the bigotry and back-biting on the old Discover Vancouver Forum, I miss the lovely posters I had as allies. Teutonic Prince, Richards, Richard, Sofia. Wonder where they are now.

Richard AKA Saltydog died in 2014. A poster on another forum confirmed it with his obituary. He died in San Francisco.
